Sustainability at Scottacus Customs
I try to keep things simple. Any fabric scraps or thread bits get chipped up into confetti-sized pieces and used as filler in draught excluders (Victorian houses can be cold in the winter). Paper and cardboard waste gets shredded and added to the compost heap.
When I moved into my house and studio, the garden was just concrete blocks and a patch of lawn. With a bit of work, I’ve planted trees, shrubs, perennials, and even added a little pond. It’s now a calming retreat, full of birds and flowers.
Not trying to save the world; just doing my part where I can.
If you want to make your own draught excluder, see a How to blog post here.
